Compression springs from RAICO

Properties of compression springs

Compression springs store energy when they are compressed, which they then discharge when they are released.

We offer our customers compression springs with a wire diameter of 0.1 – 9.0 mm. We can also produce sample springs or individual springs as well as series production of several million units a year.

Of course, on request, we also develop specially customised solutions.

Special features of RAICO compression springs

  • We produce transverse-force optimised springs.
  • We calculate and test the fatigue strength based on requirements
(continuous running test, life cycle test, load reversal cycles).

Areas of use of compression springs

Compression springs are used in many products and industrial areas. For example, in the automotive sector, particularly in diesel and petrol injection systems, but also in transmission technology and in brake systems. Quality and precision play an important role here in guaranteeing smooth mechanical interaction.

Other areas of use

  • Automotive
  • Renewable energy
  • Electric motors
  • Control technology/ switching elements
  • Measurement technology
  • Aerospace technology
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Medical technology

Production of compression springs

The production of compression springs demands special precision, flexible technical know-how and strong process optimisation. The latest CNC compression spring coiling machines are used for this at RAICO. Moreover, our services include a wide range of surface treatments, which means RAICO springs can be used in many areas of application. Great delivery reliability is part of our logistics expertise, which also includes individual packaging concepts.

Sizes and features of compression springs

  • Wire diameter: 0.1 – 9.0 mm
  • Wire shape: round, in special cases also oval, square or rectangular
  • Spring shape: cylindrical, conical, biconical (tapered and barrel-shaped), progressive
  • Coil ends: closed or ground
